Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku could get a new chance in London Chelsea if Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochettino sits on the Blues’ bench.
The Belgian footballer had big problems with injuries at the beginning of his second term at Inter, but towards the end of the season he looks more and more like the footballer who joined Chelsea two seasons ago for 115 million.
Lukaku was one of the most deserving of winning the Scudetto with Inter in 2021.
After the transfer to Chelsea, he did not perform well, so he scored 15 goals in 44 matches and in the summer of last year he returned to the Milanese club on a one-year loan.
Lately, it has been mentioned more and more often that Mauricio Pochettino could replace Frank Lampard on the Chelsea bench at the end of the season, and the Argentine sees Lukaku in the attack of the Blues.
Lukaku has scored five goals in Serie A this season in Inter’s jersey, two of them in the last match against Empli.
“Right now I’m thinking about Inter and I will always give my best for this club that has given me the opportunity to fight for trophies for two seasons,” said the Belgian after the match.
