LUKA MODRIC: Travelers to Istanbul will be decided by nuances

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric believes that few details will decide the second trip to the Champions League final.

Tonight, Inter secured a trip to Istanbul, and the second participant in the grand final will be known after the rematch between Manchester City and Real Madrid.

The first duel ended with a score of 1:1.

“In the first part of the first game, they were better, but then we “grew” and overtook them. After taking the lead, we could have scored another goal, but they equalized. We knew that everything would be decided in the second leg. Now we are here, with a 50 percent chance of passing,” said 37-year-old Modric at a press conference, reports Hina.

“The winner will be decided by small details. That’s why we have to be concentrated and unique,” said Modric.

The Croatian has already won the Champions League five times with Real.

“We are aware that we can make the club’s history even greater. It’s enough to play these kinds of matches, so you don’t need an additional reason to be motivated. When you are aware that you are so close to another final, you want to do your best,” said Modric.

According to him, the Champions League is a competition that the Madrid club knows how to play and in which it feels comfortable.

“This is a big match, and I feel comfortable in such matches. We love the Champions League because it is our competition. We’ve won it so many times because we feel comfortable playing it. At the same time, we have great self-confidence, we believe in our quality”, said the Croatian footballer who won 23 trophies with Real, and at the end he made a point:

“Nevertheless, the trophies won say a lot about us. We are proud of that. We enter the match with great desire. To play another final would be impressive”, said Modrić.
