Lazio football club president Claudio Lotito said he is not in favor of selling Serbian player Sergej Milinković-Savic.
Lotito pointed out that he does not want to sell the Serbian representative, but that he will not stand in his way if he wants to leave the Rome team in the summer transfer window.
“I don’t want to sell it. On the contrary, I am trying to extend the contract. But the contract must be something that all parties agree on. Lazio certainly doesn’t have to sell to buy. If it happens that the player leaves, it won’t be because we had to make money… If the player wants to leave, I won’t stand in his way,” Lotito told Gazzetta dello Sport.
The midfielder and Serbian national team member has been playing for Lazio since 2015, and his contract with the team from Rome expires next year.
In previous years, the media wrote about the possible transfer of Milinković-Savic to one of the Premier League clubs.
