The end: Liverpool is left without a legendary striker - decided to leave the club!

Roberto Firmino has decided to leave Liverpool after eight years.

The news was reported by Florian Plettenberg, one of the most reliable sources in the football market.

He said that Roberto Firmino made the final decision to leave Liverpool after eight years and that today he announced the same to Jurgen Klopp!

The Brazilian will not renew his contract, and his current one expires on June 30, which means that Firmino will leave Anfield as a free agent. This was probably not expected by many in Liverpool, both among the fans and at the club, but it is clear that the arrivals of Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo forced Firmino to make this decision.

When Luis Diaz recovers, Klopp will have six offensive players in three positions, so Firmino may have felt that he will completely fall into the background and that he still has something to show on the biggest stage.

Firmino is 31 years old and probably still has two to three seasons at a big club, so it will be very interesting to follow where he could go.

He arrived in Liverpool in the summer of 2015 for 41 million euros from Hoffenheim, and so far he has played 352 games, with 107 goals and 78 assists.
