La Liga President expresses high probability of Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid

La Liga president Javier Tebas has shared his belief that Kylian Mbappe is likely to make a move from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to Real Madrid during the upcoming summer transfer window. This speculation marks the second time in Mbappe’s career that there has been significant talk about his potential transfer.

In 2022, the versatile French attacker appeared poised to join Real Madrid on a free transfer but ultimately reversed his decision, opting to extend his immediate future with PSG. Now, with six months left on his existing contract, the rumors about Mbappe’s next destination have resurfaced.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has expressed his determination to convince Mbappe to stay in the French capital for at least an eighth season. While Mbappe remains focused on delivering success to PSG, he has acknowledged his desire for a new challenge in the future.

As Mbappe is now free to engage in formal negotiations with foreign clubs, the speculation has intensified, especially regarding a potential move to Real Madrid.

Javier Tebas commented on the situation, expressing his personal opinion that there is a high chance of Mbappe joining Los Blancos. Tebas noted Mbappe’s age, 26, and emphasized that the likelihood of the move depends on Real Madrid, their president, and their willingness to make the necessary investment.

Tebas pointed out that Real Madrid’s recent acquisitions, such as Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, already contribute to the team’s star power. He also highlighted that Real Madrid’s increased wage cap for the 2024-25 campaign enhances their chances of securing the deal.

Real Madrid’s search for a new center-forward, following the departure of Karim Benzema, has been well-documented. While there has been interest from Liverpool in recent months, uncertainties arise with Jurgen Klopp leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
