Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp was satisfied after the victory against Rangers in the Champions League, and before Sunday’s match with Arsenal, he spoke at today’s press conference.
He started again with the role of Darwin Núñez in the team.
“He showed one thing in every match, and that is that he easily and well gets into the position to score goals. That’s why I think we should be optimistic when it comes to him. As for the formation change, the boys moved very well, and so did Darwin and the players around him. What is more important for us is not to be predictable again so we need different systems. Certainly, in relation to the rival, we need to decide what is best for us. I repeat, we have to be less predictable,” said the Liverpool manager.
Klopp spoke superlatively about the Arsenal team.
“Woof. I absolutely respect everyone, Mikel is doing a fantastic job. This is what we often talk about. When you need time, no one will give it to you. I can only say that I have a lot of respect for Arsenal. So much talent… Martinelli, Edegar… I talked about him when he was only 15 years old with his father. And only Gabriel Jesus…Mikel showed us how good he can be, and not only in City. Tomas Parti, everyone saw how good he was at Atletik. Many qualities. A young, exciting team that is doing really well. Now it’s our turn to go there, but we don’t think about previous results,” Klopp concluded.
The match between these two rivals will be played on Sunday in London at 17:30.
