Allegri Admits Tough Choices Ahead: Juventus Open to Selling Vlahovic to Boost Finances

Massimiliano Allegri, raised the possibility of Dusan Vlahovic’s departure from the club during the ongoing summer transfer window. The 23-year-old Serbia international joined Juventus in January 2022 for an alleged €70 million transfer fee from Fiorentina and has shown promise with 23 goals in 63 appearances since then.

However, Juventus has faced a challenging period off the pitch, with deductions of points in Serie A, and punishment from UEFA leading to the club’s seventh-place finish in the league and a ban from the Europa Conference League.

In light of the club’s financial situation, Juventus is considering parting ways with Vlahovic to strengthen their financial position. While the young striker has been linked with an exit all summer, recent reports suggest a potential swap deal involving Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.

Allegri acknowledged that the club may not have the luxury to refuse lucrative offers for Vlahovic, saying, “I’m happy with the players we have, but impossible-to-refuse bids will be evaluated due to the financial situation. I will adapt to the club’s choice, as always.”

Apart from Vlahovic, Juventus is also looking to cash in on players like Weston McKennie and Denis Zakaria, as they aim to balance their books. Chelsea, on the other hand, is reportedly seeking around £35 million for Lukaku, but the desired offers have not materialized as expected.

With the transfer saga unfolding, the futures of Vlahovic and Lukaku remain uncertain, leaving fans eagerly waiting for further updates on their potential moves in the summer transfer window.
