Jurgen Klopp’s team, Liverpool, drew 1:1 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first round of the Premier League.
When asked if he is satisfied with the result, Klopp has an answer.
“The beginning was very good, we scored the first goal, and unfortunately the second one was disallowed due to offside.”
“If you ask me if I am completely satisfied, then the answer is no, but I have seen enough and we have taken a step forward. It was very intense, at times wild. We should have controlled things better, but we continue to work.” said Klopp.
He also commented on the new players, as well as their performance.
“McAllister is very good. The new players gave us great chances to look attacking. Szoboszlai played in three positions today, a great all-rounder,” said the German.
New captain Virgil van Dyck pointed out that they want to make things right.
“We had a good 25 minutes both with and without the ball. After our disallowed goal, they got wings. All in all, a good match that could have ended differently, but we have to settle for a point.” said van Dyck.
