In a heartfelt gesture marking Father’s Day, the Fgura FC has officially appointed the late Jake Vella as an Honorary Member during its Annual General Meeting, held yesterday. The decision was taken unanimously, serving as a tribute to the young boy whose courage and resilience left an enduring impact on the local community and beyond.
Jake’s parents, Mr. Josie Vella and Mrs. Mariska Vella, were present at the AGM and graciously accepted the recognition on their son’s behalf. The club expressed its profound gratitude to the Vella family, stating that the honorary title is meant to honour Jake’s inspiring spirit and the hope he gave to countless children and families over the years.
This commemoration not only acknowledges Jake’s legacy but also aims to ensure his memory continues to inspire future generations. His name now stands alongside that of the late Dr. Victor Calvagna, who had been appointed Honorary President of the club shortly before his untimely passing.
