Former Manchester City defender Ko Itakura has signed a contract with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Namely, Itakura is said to be joining the ranks of the German Bundesliga for five million euros. He is 25 years old and plays as a stopper.
It is very interesting that he joined City in 2019. However, he did not play a single match for the champions of England. He was then on loan at Groningen from 2019 to 2021, while he spent last season at Schalke. He played 31 matches and scored four goals.
For the record, Ko is also a member of the Japanese national team. So far, he has played 12 games and scored one goal.
