Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement to sell Spain international Ferran Torres to Paris Saint-Germain for almost €50 million.
The 26-year-old forward is expected to join the French champions on a five-year contract, with the remaining paperwork and medical examination reportedly the only steps left before the transfer is completed.
Torres had one year remaining on his Barcelona contract. The Spanish club had previously rejected an initial €40 million offer before the two sides reached an agreement.
Signed from Manchester City in 2021 for more than €55 million, Torres has scored 40 goals in 94 appearances across all competitions over the past two seasons. Since Hansi Flick took charge in 2024, he has mainly operated as a centre-forward and provided an important option behind Robert Lewandowski.
The forward also enjoyed a memorable international campaign, scoring Spain’s winning goal in extra time of last month’s World Cup final against Argentina as La Roja secured their second world title.
His departure would leave Barcelona needing further attacking reinforcements, particularly following the departures of Lewandowski and Marcus Rashford. The club have already strengthened their attack with the arrivals of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle and Karim Adeyemi from Borussia Dortmund.
