Malta Women's Team to face Portugal, Northern Ireland and Bosnia Herzegovina

UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Qualifications Draws

The Malta Women’s Team will face Portugal ranked 21st, Northern Ireland ranked 46th and Bosnia Herzegovina placed 64th, as the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifications draw has taken place on Tuesday afternoon in Nyon.

The WNT fresh from their remarkable triumph in the UEFA Women’s Nations League and promotion to League B will surely face a tougher task in this Qualifying group B3, with the first matches scheduled for next month.

The Malta Women’s Team is currently placed 86th in the FIFA rankings, however will be unfazed by the magnitude of this task, and will also be vying to build on the positive results attained over the last few months, in the Nations League at the latter stages of last year, also maintaining their undefeated run in the recent Visit Malta Friendlies.

The European qualifications for women’s teams operate in a different mechanism than the men’s as the qualified teams are determined through a Nations League format.
