Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge has officially signed a five-year contract with Fulham, an announcement made by the Premier League club on Thursday. According to reports from British media, Fulham has agreed to pay approximately £20 million ($26.24 million), along with additional performance-based bonuses, to secure the services of the 26-year-old player. Berge’s arrival at Fulham bolsters their midfield after Joao Palhinha’s departure to Bayern Munich.
Expressing his excitement, Berge said, “I feel absolutely thrilled. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster ride in recent weeks, but now I am here, sitting in this magnificent stadium, wearing the team’s shirt, and it feels incredible to know that my future lies here.”

Berge also mentioned that he believes his style of play aligns perfectly with Fulham’s football philosophy. He stated, “The club’s DNA is all about dominance, aggression, playing on the front foot, and beautiful football. I genuinely think that suits my playing style.”

Having previously played for Sheffield United, Berge joined Burnley in 2023. During the last season, he made 37 appearances in the Premier League but couldn’t prevent the club from being relegated. On the international stage, Berge has represented Norway in 46 matches, scoring one goal.
