After a 14-month absence from professional football, David de Gea is poised to make his highly anticipated comeback with Firenze based Serie A club, Fiorentina.
The 33-year-old has been inactive since his departure from Manchester United in June 2023, following the conclusion of his contract at Old Trafford.
However, Fiorentina recently announced that De Gea has arrived in Tuscany and is now ready to finalize a deal at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. De Gea is expected to sign a one-year agreement with the Viola, which includes the possibility of extending for an additional season.
Despite receiving offers from LaLiga, Saudi Arabia, the Premier League, and other Italian clubs, the Spanish goalkeeper declined them all, ultimately choosing to dust off his gloves and return to the game with Fiorentina.
