Celtic win against Rangers with title race all but done

The season’s most significant match in Scotland ended with a 2-1 win for Celtic on Rangers and it seems like only a matter of time until the hoops seize their third consecutive league championship.

The game started with Matt O’Riley scoring, followed by John Lundstram unintentionally directing the ball into his own goal.

Cyriel Dessers was next, scoring for Philippe Clement’s team before Lundstram was expelled for an excessively aggressive tackle right before the break.

Rodgers’ team missed a penalty in the second half and managed to secure their victory despite a tense conclusion.

However, there’s no denying that they earned the vital three points that bring them closer to their third straight victory.

It was widely believed that Rangers needed to score first in this match to have any hope of attaining the required victory.

In the end, though, the final whistle signalled wild celebrations with the title race all but done.
