HAALAND: I'm proud, this is something special

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland became the first player in league history with 35+ goals in a season with a goal against West Ham last night.

“Citizens” are stepping towards a new title in the Premier League, and the Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has no intention of stopping, but is breaking records from round after round. Last night, he hit the back of the net for the Hammers in his team’s 3:0 win, thus becoming the first player to hit the back of the net 35+ times in one season of the Premier League.

“This is a bit unrealistic, honestly. When I came here, I didn’t think about breaking that record. This means that I have done something special and I am very proud. I would like to thank my family and teammates, without whom none of this would have been possible,’ said Haaland.

Coach Guardiola was among the first to congratulate him, who was very pleased with the new three points.

“Every match is difficult. We played well and created chances, although not as we know, but I am satisfied. We were patient and very nervous in the first half, but three points are three points and we have to continue like that,’ said Pep.
