Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland continues to break records this season, as he now holds the record for most goals in a single Premier League season.
Haaland’s 33rd goal came in City’s 4-1 win over Arsenal, putting him ahead of Mohamed Salah’s 32-goal record from the 2017/18 season.
City is now hot on the heels of Arsenal, with two points less and two games in hand. Their favorable schedule could see them defend their championship title once again.
Haaland’s incredible dominance this season is a sight to behold, and if he scores just one more goal in the next seven games, he will equal the legendary Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, who both scored 34 goals in the 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons, respectively. It is worth noting that these records were set when there were 22 teams and 42 games in a season.
