Guardiola replied to the critics: While I was destroying them with Barcelona in the Champions League final, I did not see such a character

Spanish Pep Guardiola, the coach of Manchester City, responded to numerous criticisms due to the relegation of his team in the semifinals of the Champions League from Real Madrid.
Among the first are former Manchester United players Dimitar Berbatov and Patrice Evra, and Guardiola had an adequate answer for them.

“When I played against them, while I was destroying them with Barcelona in the Champions League final, I did not see such a character. They have the same character today. We have character as a team. After four games we scored 23 goals. It’s an amazing character for me. I am sorry, but I do not agree with them,” Guardiola said.

It is more than clear to everyone that Guardiola alluded to winning both of his Champions League titles against Manchester United.

No matter what, the Spanish coach really appreciates Liverpool.

“Character is what we have been doing for the last five years and played every three days in all competitions. Maybe Liverpool will win four trophies, maybe only one, but I will not say that they do not have character,” Pep pointed out.
