GUARDIOLA DOESN'T BELIEVE IN CHANGES: Racism is everywhere, we all think we are better than others

At the press conference before the match with Brentford in the last 38th round of the Premier League, the Spanish manager Pep Guardiola spoke about the problems with racism in stadiums, which is relevant again after the insults against the Real player Vinicius Junior.

The manager of Manchester City sees mild punishments in the Spanish La Liga, which should emulate the English Premier League, as a solution to that problem.

“La Liga should learn from the Premier League. Here, they are very strict about that. They know what they have to do. Racism is a problem that exists everywhere,” Guardiola said.

Big problems arose after new insults against Vinicius in the match against Valencia, so the state, police, coaches and football players who supported the Brazilian football player spoke out after that.

“Thinking that we are better than our neighbors, that we are better than each other. For all generations and everywhere. Our ancestors come from emigrants, they survived wars, dictators, and had to leave their countries. They formed families there and returned to where they were born. The problem is that there is racism everywhere. Not only in Spain with Vinicius. Not only because of gender, but also because of skin color.

This happens because we believe that our language is better than another, that our country is better than another… We have to accept diversity as a human being, but at the moment we are very far from that. I’m not that optimistic that it will happen, especially knowing Spain… There are a lot of black people who come forward and stand up for what they shouldn’t stand up for. Let’s hope that justice will do it,” said Guardiola.

All Premier League games start tomorrow at 5:30 p.m., and after the championship, the Citizens will have two finals in which they will try to win the triple crown.

The FA Cup final is scheduled for June 3, while seven days later Pep Guardiola’s team will try to win their first Champions League trophy in a match against Inter.
