GUARDIOLA: Half of the planet is dying of hunger and half of cholesterol

The coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, commented on the events in Athens, where an AEK fan was killed in a hooligan fight.

His team won the European Super Cup last night in Athens, beating Sevilla after a better penalty shootout.

Guardiola gave an interesting analysis of what led to the tragedy.

“It is a problem of society, not football. Racism is not a problem of football, but of society. Racism is everywhere, violence is everywhere. Because the gap between the rich and the poor is too great. There is no middle class to balance and inequalities create problems. Half the planet is dying from hunger and half from cholesterol.” Pep pointed out.

He sees the only solution in education.

“What happened in Greece is also happening in other countries. It is a matter of culture and education. Teachers should be paid better, as well as those who work in the health sector, but they are not. Those in power steal and make the situation difficult for everyone.” concluded the celebrated Spanish expert.
