Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was satisfied with the draw in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Siti played 1:1 against Real on the road in Madrid, so they will have the opportunity to win the grand final, which will be played in Istanbul, at the Etihad.
“When we played better they scored a goal, when they were better we equalized. Close match. We had both good and less good moments at the Bernabeu against a quality rival, but in the return leg we are playing in front of our own audience. Real has quality and an experienced team, we travel home with the hope that we will learn something from this match and that we will defend better and attack more successfully. We hope for the best,” said Guardiola.
Interestingly, Guardiola did not make any changes tonight.
The return match will be played on Tuesday.
