Nadur Youngsters are now within just two points of Qala Saints at the summit of the Gozo Football League Division 1. They managed to beat the league leaders by two goals to nil in a hotly contested encounter.
In the first match, Xaghra kept up the pace with a 5-1 victory over SK Victoria Wanderers. They currently lie in third place with 15 points, four behind Nadur, although with a game in hand against Oratory Youths which they are expected to win.
