The German public has had its say. Almost half of Germans believe that the national team should not play in this year’s World Cup in Qatar due to human rights violations and exploitation of workers by the authorities there.
A survey conducted by the YouGov Institute showed that as many as 48 percent of respondents want the “Die Mannschaft” to cancel their participation in the World Cup!
On the other hand, about 28 percent of respondents believe that Hansi Flick’s chosen ones should participate, while 24 percent of them do not have an opinion about the performance in Qatar.
The attitude of the majority of the German public is justified by the serious violation of human rights in this country.
Namely, in the past, Qatar was repeatedly criticized for exploiting workers, and news of numerous workplace deaths reached the media.
