Faiq Bolkiah, a member of the Brunei national team and the richest football player on the planet, continues his career in distant Thailand after Portugal, more precisely the Chonburi team.
The footballer, who is estimated to weigh 15 billion euros, which he did not earn from football, but from an inheritance since he is the son of the Brunei Sultan’s own brother, has left the Maritimo team.
For the Portuguese team, he was in the protocol only once in a year and three months, against Sporting, when he seat on the bench for reserve players.
Bolkiah, therefore, signed now for Chonburi in the First League of Thailand and immediately started working with the new team.
The club is delighted that the 23-year-old is joining them, but they also pointed out that he is the richest player in the world.
“It’s exciting that he signed with us, now all the media in the world are publishing the news about it. He is the richest football player in the world “, said the manager of the Thai team.
However, he adds that such things should be ignored and that the focus should be exclusively on the field where Faiq Bolkiah should make a difference in Thai championship matches.
