Unai Emery extends stay at Aston Villa with contract until 2029

In October 2022, Emery assumed control of Villa, who were only three points ahead of the relegation zone.

Under his leadership this season, the team achieved a fourth-place ranking and secured a spot in the prestigious Champions League tournament.

Emery expressed his joy and willingness to take on the role of leading the club, stating that there is a strong camaraderie within Aston Villa. The chairman of Villa, Nassef Sawiris, announced that the team is currently creating a unique project, with Unai as its central figure.
