Manchester City are now five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League title race after drawing 3-3 with Everton. They scored a last-minute equaliser in the 97th minute and have now gone 18 league games unbeaten against Everton.
Everton were boosted by Beto returning to the starting team, but City began the match strongly. They created several chances early on and looked likely to score first. However, Everton had a few opportunities too, with Beto nearly scoring, but the goalkeeper made an important save.
City finally took the lead just before half-time when Jérémy Doku scored from the edge of the box.
After the break, City stayed in control, but Everton started to threaten on the counter-attack. They equalised in unusual fashion when a defensive mistake allowed substitute Thierno Barry to score.
Everton then took the lead from a corner, with Jake O’Brien heading in. Barry later scored again to make it 3-1. City quickly responded through Erling Haaland, who scored to make it 3-2.

City pushed hard for an equaliser and got it at the very end, when Doku scored his second goal of the match.
Despite rescuing a point, this result is a big blow to City’s title hopes, with Arsenal now in a strong position.
