Maguire: I deserve to play for club and country, and I've proven that

Harry Maguire, the England international and Manchester United stopper believe he deserves to play for the national team as well as for the club.

The defender has only played 11 games in the Premier League this season, as Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane get the upper hand.

“I believe we have the players for the title. If we don’t win the tournament, it would be a failure. I’ve been to three major tournaments so far and I’ve come so close. I think we played very well in the World Cup and in the end, we got knocked out by a good French team. We have so much talent and so many good young players,” said Maguire and added:

“I want to play every game for my club and my country. I feel that I am good enough to play at a high level and I have proven that in the last five, six years”.

Maguire has been a member of United since 2019.
