Liverpool striker Alexander Isak has reportedly been voted the Premier League’s worst signing of the season, finishing ahead of three Chelsea players in a fan poll in the Sports Mole Readers’ Awards.
Despite arriving at Anfield in a blockbuster £125m move from Newcastle United, the Swedish forward has struggled to justify the huge fee due to injuries and inconsistent form throughout the campaign.
Chelsea trio João Félix, Jadon Sancho and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall were also among the leading names in the unwanted rankings, reflecting another disappointing season for the Blues in the transfer market.
The poll sparked debate among supporters, especially given Isak’s strong reputation before joining Liverpool and his previous success in the Premier League with Newcastle.
