Arsenal aim to build momentum as Leeds visit the Emirates

Arsenal and Leeds both started the season with 1-0 wins and now face each other in round two. Arsenal weren’t at their best in their narrow win over Manchester United, but manager Mikel Arteta praised the team’s determination. With a tough trip to Liverpool coming up, three points here would be a big boost.

Leeds also got off to a great start and became the first Championship winners since 2007 to win their Premier League opener. Daniel Farke will be happy, but he knows staying up is a long journey. Beating Arsenal away would be a major upset, but it would also mark Leeds’ best top-flight start since 2002.

Arsenal haven’t lost to Leeds in their last 14 meetings and are strong at home against promoted teams. Leeds, on the other hand, often struggle in London and haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 14 visits to Arsenal in the league.

Saka has been in good form at the Emirates and Leeds’ new signing Nmecha could get his first start after scoring on his debut. Arsenal are missing Jesus and Havertz through injury, while Leeds are without captain Ampadu.
