Liverpool F.C. have announced that Andoni Iraola will become the club’s new head coach for the 2026–27 season. The 43-year-old is set to take charge at Anfield following the departure of Arne Slot on Saturday.

Iraola joins after an impressive spell with AFC Bournemouth, where he spent three successful seasons in the Premier League and guided the club to a historic sixth-place finish, securing European football for the first time.
Speaking about the move, Iraola expressed his excitement at joining Liverpool, describing the club as one of the biggest and most special in world football. He highlighted the atmosphere, passionate supporters, elite players, and the opportunity to compete for major honours as key reasons behind his enthusiasm for the role.
