DENMARK MISSED THE WIN: Tunisia got lucky on debut!

Denmark and Tunisia played their first match at the World Cup in Qatar. The match ended in a goalless draw, despite a large number of chances on both sides!

We saw an excellent release from the footballers of this African selection. They were a much better opponent during the first 45 minutes of the match.

The striker of Tunisia, Issam Jebali, scored a goal in the 24th minute of the match, but it was canceled due to offside.

In the continuation of the game, we saw the same scenario. Tunisia was more specific and attacked, while the Danes did not look like themselves in these moments.

Jebali again had a great opportunity at the end of the half when he tried to lob Schmeichel, who showed great reflexes and saved his falling shot.

There were no changes in the score until the end of the half.

Denmark played in the expected rhythm in the second part of the game.

First, Maehle’s shot was blocked by Tunisia’s stopper at the beginning of the second 45 minutes, and then Olsen scored a goal, which was disallowed due to offside.

In the 70th minute of the match, Eriksen sent a projectile into the opponent’s goal, but the goalkeeper reacted fantastically. Denmark won a corner after which Cornelius was left alone at the second post in front of an empty goal and headed the same, thus missing a 100% chance to score!

In the next attack, a controversial situation occurred. Namely, the defender of Denmark played with his hand in his penalty area and thus eliminated the danger, but the referee did not consider that there were elements for a penalty.

The Danes almost got a penalty in stoppage time, but the referee had the same attitude as in the previous situation – there is not enough material for a penalty.

By the end of the match, both teams showed initiative to score, but it did not happen and the match ended in a draw.
