Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is no longer the head coach of Manchester United, which has been the main topic in the world of football for the past few days.
The Norwegian was fired after poor results, and an even worse game of the team, after two years spent at the club.
Alessandro Del Piero, the legend of Juventus, commented on this situation in an interview for “Sky Sports”.
- I have never been a big fan of when someone is fired in the middle of the season, to be honest. It’s a really tough situation for both sides, for the club, for the players… Also, it can sometimes be very embarrassing, because you obviously didn’t do a good job. However, we cannot predict when is the right time for such a thing. Only those inside the club know that – Del Piero told Sky Sports, adding:
- It is a very sad situation because Ole is a former great football player of Manchester United, and he loves the club very much, which he has proven many times so far. So when situations like this happen, it is very sad – concluded Del Piero for “Sky Sports”.
Instead of Solskjaerr, Michael Carrick will lead the United footballers, until the club’s management finds a more adequate solution. At this moment, the choice on the market is not too big, and apparently, the ” red devils” will wait for the summer to bring the coach for a longer period of time.
