De Gabriele to officiate UEFA Youth League match on Tuesday

As the light goes out on group stages of UEFA European club competitions this week, the Malta FA is also represented with a team of local match officials assigned to officiate a UEFA Youth League match.

All will happen on Tuesday at an early afternoon 1 pm kick-off in France for the contest between RC Lens Youth of France facing at-home Spanish side Sevilla FC Youth.

This match will represent another 90 minutes of experience for FIFA badge local referee Matthew De Gabriele on the international platform, assigned to officiate this match, assisted by more local match officials, wherein joined by Jurgen Spiteri and Shaun Calleja as his Assistant Referees for this match in France.

The fourth official for the match has been assigned by the local federation, assigning French match official Marc Bollengier to assist the trio of local match officials.

A bit of heartfelt good luck to the team of local match officials representing the Association while entrusted with controlling a UEFA international match, albeit at the Youth level.
