Gzira United left wing back Clayton Failla has been named the LifeStar Insurance Best Player for October following a month of consistent and influential performances.
October marked a period of improvement for Gzira United, which aligned with the return of Darren Abdilla as head coach. During this period, Failla played an important role in helping the team remain unbeaten across three league fixtures.
Gzira United secured a 4–3 victory against Mosta in match week eight, followed by a 3–1 win over Tarxien Rainbows in match week nine. The team then collected a point in a 1–1 draw with Valletta in match week ten. Failla was voted the most valuable player in the match against Valletta after another strong display.
The award presentation took place at the LifeStar Insurance offices, where LifeStar Insurance chief executive officer Jonathan Camilleri presented the accolade to Failla.
