The English football club Chelsea, which until recently was owned by the Russian Roman Abramovich, could soon get a new owner.
Many names were mentioned around the purchase of the club, and now one name from Africa has appeared.
The owner of the gold mine from Ghana, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, is in question.
“Chelsea have a long legacy in Africa because of legends like Didier Drogba and Michael Essien and therefore the club would have the opportunity to further strengthen its reputation in Africa,” said his public relations office.
As previously written, the club’s market value is estimated at around three billion euros.
The deadline for the purchase offer is Friday.
