Joao Cancelo, former Manchester City player and now a Barcelona player, believes that Pep Guardiola’s team has the best chance of winning the Champions League.
The title of European champion has eluded the Citizens for a long time, until last season when the team from Manchester finally “broke the spell” and lifted the trophy awarded to the winner of the elite European competition.
This trophy slipped away from Cancelo, who spent the second part of last season on loan at Bayern, and after its expiration, he continued his career at Barcelona.
“Manchester City is the favorite to win the Champions League. I think they are favorites because of the team, the style of play, the manager. I am sure they can win the Champions League twice in a row,” said the Portuguese in an interview with “Gazzetta dello Sport“.
Barcelona also has a chance to reach the Champions League final this year, with Napoli being the first obstacle on that path, against whom they play tomorrow starting at 21:00.
