CAHILL ENDED HIS CAREER: I gave everything I had!

Gary Cahill, the former stopper of Chelsea and the England national team, has decided that it is time to retire from the grass fields!

The experienced footballer has not had an engagement since the end of last season, so he decided to “hang up his boots”.

  • I have achieved things I once dreamed of, creating incredible memories. Football is a game that has given me so much enjoyment and success and as I make the decision to hang up my football boots, I can honestly say that I gave it everything I had – wrote the 36-year-old on social networks, then added.
  • Incredible successes like winning the Champions League and the Premier League, to the privilege of being the captain of my country and Chelsea – wrote Cahill.

As he says, it was not easy to make this decision.

I have spent 20 years training every day, trying to be in the best possible shape for game day, to help the teams I played for be successful… After much reflection, I feel now is the time to move on to the next stage of my career – concluded the former England captain.

During his career, he played for Aston Villa, Bolton, Crystal Palace, and he achieved the most success in the Chelsea team, where he won the Champions League, the Europa League, and two Premier Leagues during his seven-year stay.

Let us remind you that last year he played for Bournemouth, which he left at the end of the season.
