Bochum fired coach Thomas Reis due to poor results at the start of the season, the German Bundesliga club confirmed.
-It is clear that it was not an easy decision to make. The club’s press release states that Thomas Reis created a connection between the club and the city, which has been going on for three years.
Reis arrived in Bochum in September 2019, replacing coach Heik Butcher.
Last season, the club finished in 13th place in the Bundesliga, and in the first six matches of the new season, they recorded as many defeats as goals conceded.
Bochum is the second club in the German championship to thank its coach this season, after Leipzig, who fired Domenico Tadesco, who was replaced by Marco Rose.
