Benzema definitely misses the World Cup: I have never given up in my life

French national team striker and Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema will definitely miss the World Cup in Qatar due to a thigh muscle injury.

This news was confirmed late last night by the French Football Federation, which informed that it was a renewed quadriceps injury.

The Frenchman will need three weeks to recover from this injury, but it will be enough to miss another World Cup.

Shortly after the official confirmation, the best football player in the world for this year announced himself with a comment.

“I have never given up in my life, but tonight I have to think about the team as always, so my reason tells me to leave my place to someone who can help the team to have a great World Cup”.

Benzema should be replaced by Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, who played 30 games for the “tricolors” and scored twice for the national team.

Before Benzema, Kimpembe, Kante, Pogba, Nkunku dropped out for the World Cup due to injuries. Also, for the first match against Australia, Manchester United defender Rafael Varan is questionable.

France plays in Group D with Australia, Denmark and Tunisia.
