Ħamrun SC have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Euro Winners Challenge 2026, finishing top of their group with a perfect record of three wins from three games.
In their final group match, the Maltese side beat Portuguese outfit AD Nazaré B 2-1 in a closely fought game in Nazaré, Portugal.
Nazaré went ahead through Manuel in the eighth minute, but William levelled for Ħamrun before Antonello Demanuele scored what proved to be the winner. Despite Nazaré pushing hard for an equaliser, Ħamrun held on to complete an impressive group stage campaign and go through in first place.
It was a very different story for Sliema Beach Soccer, who got their Euro Winners Cup campaign off to a tough start with a 13-0 defeat against Israeli side Falfala KQ BSC.
Falfala were in control from the first whistle, going three goals up in the opening period through A. Omry, H. Jabareen, and Mauricinho. They added three more in the second period via A. Karam, Thanger, and a second from Jabareen.

The final period was equally one-sided, with Falfala scoring six more times through Thanger (two), Jabareen, A. Omry, Mauricinho, S. Moreb, and Amer Yatim to complete a dominant victory.
Sliema will be keen to bounce back quickly, with their next match against Viareggio coming up later today.
