Barcelona will try to convince Liverpool to agree to their transfer offer, which would see Memphis Depay move to the English club while Xavi gets Roberto Firmino.
Xavi is a big fan of the Liverpool footballer, who has a contract with the English club until June this year.
He has been a member of the Anfield team since 2015, and before that he played for Hoffenheim and Figueirense.
Firmino (31) was on the verge of moving to another club in the summer transfer window, but he stayed at Liverpool because Sadio Mane left for Bayern, while Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz were injured.
However, the Brazilian footballer believes that it is time to leave Liverpool, since Cody Gakpo arrived at the English club.
Xavi does not count on Memphis Depay, which is why he decided to offer the Dutch footballer to Liverpool in exchange for Firmino.
Depay has been a member of Barcelona since 2021, and before that he played for Lyon, Manchester United and PSV.
