Juventus footballer Angel Di Maria has expressed his happiness at helping the team win in the Europa League, and revealed his hope to win both the Europa League and Italian Cup this season.
The Argentine scored the only goal in Juventus’ 1-0 victory against Freiburg in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Di Maria, who has scored all four of Juventus’ last two Europa League games, said that he felt pain and fatigue but is happy that the team won. When asked about his future at Juventus, Di Maria stated that negotiations are ongoing and that he is happy at the club but unsure about his future.
“We are talking, I don’t know. I am happy here, now I can feel the support of the fans, at the beginning it was a bit difficult for me,” he said.
The second leg of the round of 16 is set to take place next Thursday in Germany. Meanwhile, Juventus will face Inter in a double-header in the semi-finals of the Cup in April.
