As the media announced earlier, Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen extended his contract with the Catalans until June 30, 2028.
The German goalkeeper was one of the best players last season, in which Barcelona won the title, and he did not concede a goal in 26 league games.
As stated on the club’s website, the contract of the 31-year-old goalkeeper has a buyout clause of up to 500 million euros.
This season, he was named first vice-captain.
Ter Stegen came to Camp Nou in May 2014, played 379 games, and won 15 trophies. He won five championship titles, and five trophies in the King’s Cup, the Champions League, three Spanish Super Cups, the European Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.
The German is fourth on the club’s list of goalkeepers by the number of games played. Victor Valdes holds the record with 535 games.
