The idea of Bayern and the group of deaf fans ‘Red Deaf’ is to help such fans.
The plan is for Bayern’s women’s football and basketball teams to use sign language when announcing their teams.
“This project should broaden perspectives and provide support. Inclusion is an important task in our society, and sports can do a lot to connect people.” said club president Herbert Hainer.
“We are very pleased to have made signs for Bayern players. Bayern is a big family and now we feel even more like part of the community.” said the president of the fan group “Red Deaf” Martina Bechtold.
