ALGERIA IS HIS REPRESENTATION: The midfielder of Lyon gave up on France!

The quality midfielder of Olympique Lyonnais, Houssem Aouar, has decided to change his citizenship – he has given up on France and will play for Algeria in the coming period.

He was born 24 years ago in Lyon and went through all the younger categories and the Olympique school, he has been playing for the senior team since 2016 and played around 200 games, and in 2020 he even played in the semi-finals of the Champions League, so at the end of that season he was in the ideal team of the elite competition.

In addition to all that, Houssem Aouar played for the cadet and youth national team of France throughout his career, he also made his debut for the senior team more than two years ago, but he will play for Algeria in the rest of his football life!

The player who covers the position of the central midfielder has Algerian roots and knowing that he was not on the list of France coach Didier Deschamps for the last two major competitions, then this decision is not surprising.

The Algerian Football Association also published this information on national television with the message that a few more footballers want to play for the country from North Africa.

Aouar could leave Lyon during the winter, he is reportedly on the verge of signing for Roma.
