Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has rejected a new contract offer from the club, with several Premier League sides continuing to monitor his situation.
The Cherries had identified securing Scott’s long-term future as a key objective this summer, but negotiations have yet to produce an agreement. Despite the setback, Bournemouth remain determined to keep the 22-year-old and insist he is not available for transfer.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Chelsea are all believed to be interested in the England Under-21 international. Arsenal previously had an approach for the midfielder turned down earlier this summer.
Scott, who joined Bournemouth from Bristol City in 2023 in a deal worth £25 million, still has two years left on his existing contract. Although reports have suggested the club values him at around £80 million, Bournemouth have consistently rejected enquiries and remain firm that he will stay, even if he does not sign a new deal.
The club are under little financial pressure to sell after qualifying for the Europa League and benefiting from substantial transfer income following the departures of Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi and Dango Outtara.
Bournemouth have also taken a similar position with highly rated forward Junior Kroupi, who has attracted attention from Arsenal and Tottenham. Meanwhile, Brazilian youngster Rayan is also expected to remain at the club after joining earlier this year and has not expressed any desire to leave.
Scott and Kroupi are currently part of Marco Rose’s squad at the club’s pre-season training camp in Austria, while Rayan is due to link up with the team later after representing Brazil at the World Cup.
Scott earned his first senior England call-up last November and was included in Thomas Tuchel’s extended pre-World Cup training camp in Florida, although he has yet to make his senior international debut.
The midfielder transfer market has been particularly active this summer, with Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers both closing in on big-money moves to Manchester City and Chelsea respectively. Tottenham have also strengthened their midfield with the signings of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United and Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United.
Scott began his career at Guernsey FC before joining Bristol City in 2020. After making 91 appearances and winning the Championship Young Player of the Season award in 2022-23, he secured his move to Bournemouth. Since then, he has featured 89 times, scored six goals and played a key role in helping the club achieve a sixth-place Premier League finish and qualify for European football for the first time in their history.
