David Alaba left Bayern Munich after 13 years and joined another great – Real Madrid, and now he has compared the two giants.
The ex-Bayern football player is doing great in the capital of Spain.
Alaba was the starter in 13 of the 14 matches, and he even scored the first goal in the Real jersey in “El Clásico” against Barcelona.
The experienced player compared these two football giants to the Spanish media.
- Both clubs are always fighting for the highest goals. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world, as well as Real Madrid. There is not much that would separate them. But here in Madrid, with due respect for Bayern, everything is a shade bigger – said Alaba.
When it comes to La Liga and the Bundesliga, there are differences.
- It is difficult to say which league is stronger or harder to play in, but in any case, there are differences. In Spain, even teams like Levante and Alaves are trying to play football. As a central defender, I have fewer duels in the air after shooting the ball than in the Bundesliga. It is played more directly there. In Spain, on the other hand, a lot of care is taken about the possession of the ball, even the teams that are at the bottom of the table – the Real stopper added.
Let us remind you, the Austrian won as many as 27 trophies during his stay in Bayern, of which ten German championships and two Champions Leagues.
