The 12 Malta Premier League clubs will receive €2,356,000 as solidarity funds from UEFA for the 2024/25 season.
This amounts to €196,333 per club, marking the highest sum ever allocated to Maltese clubs. UEFA has also introduced new regulations regarding fund administration, following requests from various leagues, including the Malta Premier League.
The clubs have agreed to contribute €293,400 (€24,450 from each Premier club) to be distributed equally among Challenge League clubs this season as Solidarity payment. This represents 12.5% of the amount Premier League clubs will receive, nearly reaching UEFA’s maximum permissible distribution limit.
The Malta Premier League thus demonstrates its commitment to solidarity and developing Maltese football through concrete actions. The Premier League’s success benefits everyone.
