Ħamrun Spartans forward Raphael Lopes has been awarded the LifeStar MVP for January, following a string of impressive performances.
The Brazilian striker was instrumental in Ħamrun’s dominance throughout the month, highlighted by his stunning hat-trick in the 6-1 thrashing of Marsaxlokk. His outstanding display earned him the MVP award for that match, as well as in the subsequent 2-1 victory over Hibernians.
Out of 32 votes cast for the monthly MVP, Lopes secured seven votes, three more than Żabbar Saints defender Strahinja Jovancic, who received four. The remaining votes were distributed among several other players.
Lopes was presented with the January MVP trophy by LifeStar Insurance CEO Roberto Apap Bologna ahead of Ħamrun’s match against Melita on Sunday.
