Naxxar Lions have bolstered their squad with the signing of Japanese forward Talla Ndao, marking the 25-year-old’s first venture into European football.
Ndao, who has spent his entire career in Japan, previously played for Yokohama F. Marinos, Machida Zelvia, and Maru. Okazaki. Most recently, he was with FC Osaka, where he spent the last 18 months before making the move to Malta.
The Lions are hopeful that Ndao will inject much-needed attacking flair into their team, which they found lacking during the Opening Round of the season.
Ndao is the second signing for Naxxar this month, following the return of Brazilian defender Joao Moura, who was a teammate of Ndao’s at FC Osaka. Both players could make their debuts for the Lions in their upcoming match against Floriana on Sunday.
The club will be looking to these new additions to provide a boost as they seek to improve their standing in the league.
